Senior outdoors cricket is played during Summers, generally from 15 April to 15 September depending on the prevalent weather conditions. Training is carried out on Fridays in the evenings. Basel CC participates in Swiss League and Cup matches. We also undertake tours to Cricket Clubs outside Switzerland. Our regular fixtures are to Luxembourg , Rheinfelden and Munich. We also host teams from outside like Germany and England. Most of our matches are played on Sundays and generally we have our home matches as a social event where we try and arrange Indian Lunches or a grill.
Outdoor cricket also includes many friendly matches with teams from Switzerland and outside. Our emphasis is also on integrating young/ junior players 14 and above to enable them to experience senior cricket. Thus a normal match may find sometimes 4 or 5 Junior players as part of the Basel cricket team
